I have a heart

Not really sure how many people are familiar with Bobby Bones, he's a country radio star. I listen to him and his co-hosts/friends of his every morning. Honestly, from what I can tell over my half hour radio session every Monday - Friday with them, they seem like really cool people. People if I had the chance, I would like to meet. I say they seem like really cool people because well... 1. They like country music and that's my favorite, so.. 2. They always have interesting things to talk about, and never get to into politics or religion or their opinions of what is right and wrong. They introduce a topic, give a brief understanding of what it is, and leave the opinions up to their listeners. They have people calling in all the time. 3. They go out of their way to help society. So yesterday morning was kind of rough for me, a lot on my mind and I didn't pay a lot of attention. I knew Ray- One of the guys on the show was going to dance for 24 hours. I didn't really know a reason why, they do goofy stuff all the time. Well this morning I got in my car, and I turned on the radio and heard Amy-  A co-host crying. She, Amy, has a huge beautiful heart. She has done a lot of mission work and goes to Haiti to volunteer and helps feed the children. Because of her huge heart they started a charity, 30Abes. ( I have posted a link below). Well this 24 hour dance thing Ray has going on, is a charity event to motivate people to donate money to help feed all the helpless and starving children in Haiti. Umm... how awesome is that?! It really touched my heart this morning, listening to the end of their event and I honestly teared up multiple times on the way to work.

A lot of people don't really think about what is going on outside of their own world every day. I know I rarely think of the starving children in places I have never been. I also admit this is quite selfish when I am eating three meals a day. Three meals that I get to pick. Three meals that I expect, when there are people, children starving not expecting any food for the day.

I also know a lot of people think "Why help children in Haiti when there are children in America that need our food and our money". This may be a valid argument, but to that I say we are all God's children. I am not going to preach religion because I am not religious, but I do believe. I also believe that we are all human beings in this world, that should not be separated by city, state, or country. We all need help, we are just doing it one step at a time. One little village at a time, because that is all we have. I am not telling you to donate hundreds of dollars a year (Although, so much respect to you if you do), but don't be the person that wont help out a neighbor, don't be the person that always has excuses. You can change a life with just a couple bucks, or even just a couple minutes of your time if you are tight on cash- because I know we all are.

Woot woooottt!

ios7 update has arrived!!! Waiting for it to download, can't wait to get home and play around on my phone and my iPad! I'm such a nerd when it comes to these things!

It started saying "3 Hours Remaining" than 2 Hours, then 23 minutes, then 12 minutes, then 24 minutes and now we are on 8 minutes. Hurrrrrryyy up.

Went to lunch with my mom and Trish today. Trish is a good time, I'll probably miss her when I leave this place. My mom keeps telling me how happy she and my dad are that I decided to wait until this Saturday to get married! I'll be a wife in four days!!!! 9.21.13 <3

SD!

I really miss San Diego. We went a couple weeks ago to see Fiancé's aunt and uncle, and because we had free tickets to sea world. I've never been to sea world before, and all 20 years of my life I have loved theme parks, so there was no question about us taking the six hour trip.

1. Our temporary home. Austin's aunts house was my dream house. They live in Chula Vista in a mainly military community, so it was beautiful. Seeing green grass, that wasn't turf, and full grown trees that weren't attached to sticks in the ground, and American flags sticking out from each house made me so happy and excited... And sad. I wanted it to magically turn into my home. I wanted to wake up to this beautiful place every day. Living in Vegas, you learn to appreciate almost everywhere else. Fiancé joining the Navy will hopefully give us these opportunities, and I WILL have a flag.

2. The ship. Austin's aunt and uncle are both in the Navy. Austin's aunt works on an aircraft carrier,(I can't remember the name for the life of me right now) and she asked if we wanted a tour. Without skipping a beat we both said "YES!" Very anxiously. I'm a little afraid of heights, so I probably didn't have the experience that fiancé had, but seriously... The ship was amazing. If you have been on an aircraft carrier you know what I mean. His aunt works in medical, so she showed us the medical quarters and I was just amazed by all the things the ship had, all the equipment there was. I've just always been interest in things like this.  We went to the flight deck and we over looked the entire city of San Diego and Coronado. It was beautiful.

2. Let there be water. I live in a desert. My mind makes mirage puddles in the middle of the road because I like seeing small or big bodies of water. I love the ocean. I think it's beautiful. I love the sand. I think it's soft. I love boardwalks. Walking out onto the ocean gives me a happy feeling that lasts... Like a week? I love the shops that are near the beach. And the smell of fresh air. I could do without the occasional fish smell, though. Fiancé likes the view of the ocean, but isn't particularly infatuated with beaches like I am. Just seeing water and the ocean makes my whole day. It excites me!

We had a great time at sea world and we walked up and down Gaslamp. We ate at corvette diner and went to an awesome sushi place. It was a fun trip, I wanted to cry when we had to leave. Can't wait to see where the Navy takes us & I hope it brings us here.

So we didn't get married...

Honestly, I feel so relieved. That sounds bad. I can't wait to marry my Fiancé, but all day Saturday it was heavy on my heart that my parents were not going to be there. I think it was effecting him to, that his family wasn't going to make it either. We decided we were going to wait. So we made an appointment for this coming Saturday, at 5:00. My dad will be coming into town, and fiancé's mom said she was going to make arrangements at work to be there. We don't know about his father yet, as he works weird hours and is unable to take off any time right now.

I bought a new dress, its black. I know, very untraditional. Its classy though, and it fits me very well. Something I could see myself in as a navy wife. I bought cute black wedges that are not too tall, but definitely add height, and a necklace. The neck of the dress is very high, and I thought a cute chunky necklace would look good with it. The necklace is gold, black, and white, but fiancé bought a red button up to wear, so I think I am going to go find a red chunky necklace instead of the one I got so we can match a little. Red and Black are the colors of our big wedding, so I think it's cool that we are trying to incorporate them in our smaller wedding.

I am glad our families will be able to make it, and a few of our close friends. Fiancé's grandparents are even going to come down to be here with us, which means a lot to us. I wish, badly, that my best friend wasn't so far away so she could be here.
