Five on Friday!

Linking up for another five on Friday with all the beautiful ladies.

{ o n e }
I changed my major last week, which became quite a surprise for everyone. My major was hospitality and business management. I thought once that I wanted to work in Hotels. Living in Las Vegas this seemed to be a great idea. But it has never and will never be my passion. Luckily I have not started on any of my major classes yet, so this has not set me back at all. I took a complete 360 and am now Majoring in Teacher Education. Yep, I want to become an elementary school teacher. My family was set back because they have never really heard me talk about it, but are being completely supportive! More to come about why I made this life changing decision.

Valentines is right around the corner. Literally a week away! I am ecstatic. I have been sending the hubs some gifts ideas. Not because I am greedy, I just want to steer him in the right direction. He only asked for motorcycle parts. So I'm giving him $400 to fix his poor CBR, because God knows I would have no idea what I would be shopping for.

New Oakley Sunglasses.

I love these shades!

Third Band for my wedding ring. Something super simple.
Forbidden VS Perfume!

I will take any of these V-day presents hubby(:

I also have a little surprise up my sleeve. It's not planned all out quite yet, I will probably figure it out today, but I am planning a dinner and helicopter ride for Valentines night! He has no idea. My husband has never even been in an airplane, and I thought it would be a lot of fun if we went on a helicopter ride touring Las Vegas's strip. I am really hoping it all works out!

Sunday we are having pictures done. I definitely had to bribe my husband, but I got my way(:

Tax season has definitely brought some joy into our lives. We got a pretty large tax refund this year. I am pretty sure it's because I started paying back some of my student loans! I can't wait for that money to hit the bank!

So if you know me, you know I love tattoos! You can see my current tattoo collection here. Well I saw this beautiful tattoo, that I really want to incorporate to my sleeve. I think that I am going to add more to my sleeve in March and bring it down to a quarter sleeve, right after my egg donation. So that's my plan, and I am really excited!
How beautiful is this bow? I would love to have something like this in my sleeve.

Egg donation Update

So this has been a pretty long process. I didn't realize how much was really involved when it came to donating your eggs. I am in no way backing out, I will probably go another round if they tell me I am eligible!

So my first blood draw was really bad. They took about 15 tubes of blood and I was not ready at all for this, so my body gave out on me that day.(Good news is that this is the largest blood draw, and even if I donate my eggs again this blood is good for a year!)

Then I had an appointment with them two weeks ago, where I met the doctor and it was pretty much like a ladies annual.

Then last week I had a psych evaluation, where I was asked a bunch of crazy questions, I guess the doctor said I wasn't tooo crazy, because Monday I got a an e-mail from my nurse asking me to come in for more blood work and told me I can start my injections on the 20th.

So this morning I went in for another round of blood work, luckily it was only one tube so I was totally okay! And I ate a lot of sugary food before I went in!

on the 18th of this month I will see the doctor again, and somewhere between now and the 20th I will go in to get my medication.
So here's how it works... to my knowledge.
On the 15th I will take the last birth control pill- They put me on the pill to sync my cycle and the recipients cycle.
I will get a bag of medication which I will have to inject daily.
(am I crazy for doing this willingly? Probs)
There will be two evening injections that I will probably ask the hubs to help me with.
I will do this for 10-12 days, and every other day I will go in for more blood work and ultrasounds to make sure these eggs of mine are "harvesting" (I hate hate hate using this word) right.

Then March 3-5 the retrieval will be scheduled.

So this process I am a little unsure of. I know that my husband will have to take me, and they will not completely put me to sleep but give me a drug to put me out of it. I wont feel, or remember anything
The doctor told me that a small needle will be involved to retrieve 20-25 eggs.

Then I will wake up, have a little bit of cramping, be slightly bloated, have a little extra cash in my pocket, and all will be well.

It sounds like a lot of work, it is a lot of work. But I am helping a family conceive a child. So its rewarding!

Can you believe that game?

Did the Broncos forget that they were playing in the SUPERBOWL?! I mean C'mon, they got their asses handed to them by the SeaHawks. VERY disappointing game this year, we had so much faith in you, Broncos!

Anyway, nothing crazy happened this weekend.  We watched a lot of Dexter Friday night and Saturday. I am up to season 6 now, and I am obsessed with this show. Is he not the most handsome guy in the world?

We went to Chili's for lunch Saturday and that night we went Cosmic Bowling at the Red Rock with Tanner, Alexa, and Lily. Lily Kicked our asses, and I was right behind her until the last two frames and ended up losing the entire game! :(

Sunday was game day, so that morning we got up and went to the store. I made homemade chocolate dipped pretzels. I wanted to add sprinkles, but couldn't find orange ones.

Then we went to my family friends house for a pretty big party. My family, my in-laws and lots of friends joined. There was SO. MUCH. FOOD!

And my awesome mother-in-law surprised me with a new bottle of yummy perfume! Have I mentioned how much I enjoy that she works at Victoria's Secret?

Overall, it was a pretty relaxing weekend. Of course I am sad that my two days of freedom are gone and have to wait 5 whole days for two more. It was way to hard to get out of bed this morning and I totally gave up on make-up this morning.
