Its Friday!!

It's been a while since I have linked up with all the lovely ladies, so I am excited for todays 5!

I made a really yummy dinner for us Tuesday night. I'm not a fancy cooker.. I have yet to try some awesomely delicious meals that I have seen on Pinterest. But I have been aiming for healthier dinners so Tuesday night I made garlic Baked Chicken, that turned out perfect and juicy, chicken rice, and carrots boiled in chicken broth. My husband and I enjoyed it a lot! It was super easy to make, and didn't require an hour in the kitchen after dinner to clean up.

I am one more step away from finally donating the eggs. I have been on birth control for two weeks now, which is used to sync mine and the recipients cycles. I have done my blood work {that was a crazy experience} and all the tests came back negative!! And yesterday I had a physical and came back with a clean bill of health to move forward. The final step before I receive my injections will be to have a psych evaluation done next week! So I am a little nervous for the injections, by my husband will be administering them so that will be a huge help! Then I will do ultrasounds every 2-3 days and they will let me know how my eggs are developing. The good thing about this process is that I will be able to see how my eggs develop and how easy, { or not easy} it will be for me to have children in the future.

I had some time by myself yesterday to do absolutely nothing, so I turned on Netflix and I watched Stuck In Love. It's probably my new favorite chick flick.  If you're anything like me, watch it!

2014 Vacation!
Vacation is such an important thing for me this year because we didn't go on a formal one last year! Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, and I consider us extremely blessed to be able to take a vacation this year! So we bounced some ideas back and forth about where we want to go, and what we want to do, and one of the things on my husbands list is to go Scuba Diving, and he really wants to see Catalina Island. We always go to California, its like one of my favorite places to visit, but I didn't want to do what we always do, so instead... we are going to go on a cruise! A 7 day cruise! We haven't decided if we wanted to just do the coasts of California cruise or go check out Mexico!  We are planning to go in April or May!

Weekend.

I cherish my weekend so much, it's such a shame how fast they go. I see everyone's weekend pictures, and I can't help but think how my life is just so not that exciting right now! Ha!

Friday night we had dinner with Sage and Eishi, Buffalo Wild Wings. Not classy but one of my favorite food spots. I really wanted to go see a movie or go do something that night, but hubs caught the bug and wasn't feeling up to it, so we went home. We rented Elysium, my opinion, wait until HBO airs it to watch it, if you haven't already. Yeah, Matt Damon looks like a babe in it {if you like dirty manly menly men, like I, then you will agree}, but not worth the 5.99 that will be on my Dish bill next month. Keep in mind, I am not  a harsh movie critic either. I like almost every movie I see.

The morning was long, and hubs and I had a little {big} spat, but eventually got over it. My mother's birthday is the 15th this month so I wanted to do something nice for her. So I got some decorations, picked up a gift card to her favorite clothing store, and spend $81 in groceries for a Sunday family dinner- Moms birthday edition. Then we went to Austins parents house, I know, like always, for dinner and to see the new iguana. Okay, never been a huge lizard fan. Don't necessarily see the fascination in boring ol' lizards, but this iguana... pretty cool. I wouldn't mind trading our mean lady Reptar monitor in for one of these cool guys!
Yeah, he's just chillen on my husband head being the bad ass that he is. I actually really wanted to take him home.

Birthday Dinner/Party day!! Tonight menu:
Pot Roast with potatoes and yummy carrots
Homeade Mashed taters & gravy
Mac & Cheese- Velveeta shells, everyone's fav.
Corn
Chedder Bay Biscuts
Chocolate cupcakes for desert {my moms fav}

I know, nothing fancy, but this was the first pot roast I have ever made, and may I say, I friggen nailed it! It was so tender and full of flavor. I used to doubt my cooking, but I think I can make anything my little heart wants to! My parents, my sister, hubs parents, and his sister came over for the feast. It was fun. Have I mentioned how much I adore my family. They all get a long so great.
Earlier that day I hung a banner and my husband went crazy with some streamers {totally forgot to get a picture} so my house was well decorated for a birthday party!  My mom enjoyed it! I am so glad I am finally able to give back to the people that brought me into this world, and have worked so hard to spoil me to this day! It's rewarding for me(:

I know, it was pretty cute to put these candles on the cupcakes. ha! She liked it!

I am actually sad this time together is over, and tomorrow I will have to report back to work at 0700. Oh well. I hope everyone had an awesome weekend too!
