If you have been reading, you know my hubby got into a horrible accident on Sunday, but is doing much better. He is up and walking around + he got himself dressed yesterday! We do things all day long, we go to work, go to lunch, go shopping, go out to eat, and we never really think about it as being "a big day" for us. Well when you are sick, or something happens that jeopardizes and minimizes your physical activity everything you do takes it out of you. Being able to get dressed by himself, and feed himself and walk around the house is now a "big day" for hubs. Each day of progress will get bigger and bigger. I am really happy he is starting to heal!  Below is a picture of a few of the bikes he went on a ride with on Sunday. I am not going to lie, I will miss being a part of this community. I have met a lot of sport bike riders and they are really cool, they are protective, and all of them have huge hearts! Did I mention that the Sunday ride was a huge toy charity the bikers were donating to?

Below is a picture of my rings. I see pictures like this all the time on Insta, Twitter, Tumblr, & Pinterest, so while bored at work on Wednesday I did one! Ha ha. I really love my rings. You can tell they are never off my hand by how the bands are starting to bend. They are a symbol of my husband's promises and commitments and that means the world to me!

So for a while I have been talking about a new TV and TV stand coming our way, well its here and built and finally put together. On the left you see Sage. She and her man helped me move the TV and stand where they belong because my husband was unable to move anything. Now I need to find something to go above our TV! I really like the new set up!(: Tonight I will move all the DVDs and Xbox stuff into the new stand!

If you know me, you know I love love love Chipotle. Its one of my favorite places to eat. Its cheap, easy and oh so yummy {and healthy on some levels}. My mom and I went to chipotle for lunch Thursday afternoon. I swear since I have moved out of my parents house over a year ago, I am so much closer to my parents. I text them all the time, and I send them pictures of new things Austin and I get. I just love having them be apart of our lives now!

Today, Friday the 13th, is my mother-in-laws birthday! We got her a gift card for a massage at Massage Envy. I think tonight I am going to bake her some cookies or something and put them in a cute tin. She has to work all day and night tonight so I will probably drop her gift off to her tomorrow morning. I am really happy we got her this massage, after her father in law having surgery on his neck, a close family friend being in the hospital for an injury, her husband be hospitalized for having a hole in his colon,  her son being in a bad accident, and then her having a root canal, she needs to relax! It has been a really stressful couple weeks for her. She is one of the strongest women I have ever met, and I cannot believe how amazingly she has held herself and the entire family together.

living room pieces

Okay, So if you know me you know I really love decorating my home and finding pieces for my home and walls. Well I was looking around my living room Saturday night and I couldn't help but think how much I love how everything has turned out so far. I know with time  I will collect more and more things that I love, but I seriously take so much pride in our home and all the work I have put into it. When people come over and tell my they feel comfortable and cozy in my home and they love my décor, it literally makes my day!

So I posted pictures of the new apartment earlier & you would have seen that we have some warm colors going on in our house. A lot of brown, deep red, beige, and black.

This sign is probably my favorite. Austin and I say this to each other all the time. He's the one that actually picked this out at TjMaxx. {I also like killer prices}

This quality of the next two pictures suck. So these {fake}flowers I had in a mason jar that hubby broke recently, and I couldn't find a vase {that I liked enough} so I put them in an empty. Jack Daniels bottle. I actually really like how it looks! I know I have posted this sign before, and little "F" coasters because I'm obsessed with our marriage?

This is one of my favorite pictures of us. It was taken about a month into our relationship! We were camping and it was raining. Its nothing fancy, or too posed, which is why I love it. Okay so I also have a huge obsession with candles. So when hubby and I took our little trip to SD a couple months ago, I found this candle in a gift shop by the beach. Its got sand, sea shells, and a white vanilla candle set in it. I have come to the conclusion that whenever we go on a trip, I will come back with something like this!

No home is complete without wall sconces. I just bought these from JCPenny's not to long ago. May have posted about it. I know they are probably not much, but I actually really like them. My MIL really liked them when she saw them, so I bought her some like these for Christmas.

Cheap little find. The colors match my house perfectly, and I love having things to hang on the smaller walls!

Again, bad quality picture. I found this frame set at Wal-Mart the day after we got married. The center picture is our "Souvenir" copy of our Marriage Certificate. The really pretty one, that you can't actually do anything with legally. I bought this table at TjMaxx for like $60. Knick Knacks have become a favorite thing to shop for.

This set is between two large windows in our living space. My dad actually hung these up the day after we  moved in. I really like how he arranged it all, too!

So not pictured, is a large Mirror with a thick black antique frame that I picked up from Home Goods for about $70. How I did my curtains & The area where My TV and TV stand are because they are currently being change, built and rearranged(:

This is just my living room.
I'll probably take pictures of the bedroom or kitchen this weekend!

It's still the most wonderful time of the year!

My last two posts have been pretty down, but it is still Christmas time, and we are still in the spirit.

This past weekend we helped my mother put up her tree.. she has the same decorations as me! This is her tree. No, it's not the best picture and I should have taken one AFTER we wrapped all the presents! Because there was a lot!

Here are some of the ornaments on  my tree. Yes, pink & purple and my husband is actually okay with it. Decorating trees isn't exactly his thing. But he was a trooper and helped out (:

I know I have posted a picture of my tree before, but here is another(: This time there are a few presents under there. Still not even half the presents I got wrapped a few days after I took this picture.

So I love the idea of Christmas cards. Of course I wanted to get pictures done, and personalize them but we just didn't have the time this year. We are making it a goal next year to have personalized Christmas cards ordered and sent out! But this year, I went to target and found these cute things! They had a huge selection of beautiful Christmas cards!

Last night we went to my in-laws house after the hospital, and we watched a couple movies with the fire on. I absolutely adore their tree and how cozy their home is! (Their pugs love to sneak in pictures!)

I can't believe Christmas is in two weeks! I am so excited!(: I hope everyone has a beautiful and amazing holiday!

Back to work

Usually four day weekends are something I treasure and am able to plan out, but I didn't like this one too much.

Hubby is doing okay. By okay, I mean he is alive and breathing well, with no broken bones, internal bleeding, or damage to the brain. He has pretty sever road rash on his lower back that we had to get cleaned at the hospital yesterday- That was a painful experience for the both of us. His shoulder is in a lot of pain and was pretty swollen all day Monday but looked better Tuesday. He was able to move it a little bit last night as well. He can't really tolerate the pain so he has been eating a lot and taking pain medication every 4-6 hours.

I couldn't miss another day of work with the Holidays and Month end coming up, so I decided to try to go back today & stay as long as possible until he or his dad said that he needed me today. I felt very bad for leaving this morning even though he said he'd be okay. I got his meals and snacks ready for him last night so it was easy for him to eat. Tonight when I get home he will have to shower and I will have to redress his wounds... I am not excited for this, and I can only imagine how he feels.

Hoping he heals up fast.

My awful Sunday night.

So I may or may not have mentioned before that my husband rides a CBR 600 street bike. It has been one of his favorite things to do since he bought the bike in March or so. He grew up riding quads and learned how to drive at a young age. Anything with a motor, he is great with.

Sunday around noon he went on a huge charity ride with about 50 other bikes. They delivered a whole bunch of toys to a Wal-Mart and then went to lunch at town square. He calls me at every stop so I know he's okay.

At about 4:35 Sunday evening a got a phone call from his phone. I answered thinking it was him but instead I heard an unfamiliar voice say "hello. Is this summer?". I knew immediately something was wrong and began bawling. Seriously I was crying so hard I could hardly understand the man. All I knew is that my husband had been in an accident on the 95 free way under the Valley View overpass.

I didn't know if he was okay, I didn't know what to do. I couldn't think straight or see straight. Somehow I had gotten my boots on, found my keys and was running to my car. I called his mom. No answer, she was at work. I called my mom. No answer. I called his dad (who had just gotten out of the hospital the day before with a hole in his colon), he answered. I mumbled that Austin had been in an accident. He said he was getting dressed and to tell him what hospital to go to when I found out.

I got a text from his friend, Cody, who was riding with him, seconds later telling me he was going to the UMC Trauma center on Charleston & that he was okay.  I told his dad, his mom called me and I told her where to go. To be honest, I have no idea how I got to the hospital without causing an accident.

I got to the Hospital before my husband did and I waited. And waited. No one was telling me anything.  His family arrived and we cried and waited together.  Finally we were told that one person was allowed to go see him and his family told me to go, I am his wife. I'm his wife.

When I finally saw him he was naked, all his clothes had been cut off. He was under two thin blankets and shaking. Of course I was a mess but he looked confident and okay. He told me he was fine. He told me he had bad road rash (not our first experience with this nasty wound) and his shoulder was in a lot of pain. I asked if he was cold, he said he was shaking because of adrenalin. He told me he had a guy that stopped to help him call me as soon as the guy reached him. He said he remembered my number and he just needed me to know.  But I needed to know how this happened.

A black dodge avenger had cut him off on the free way in the far left lane, and then for no reason break checked him so hard that white smoke came from the avengers tires. My husband had to lock up his breaks so hard his back tire lifted from the ground and rolled the bike throwing him off. He went sliding and rolling about 100 feet in the freeway. When he stopped rolling he was able to get up and run out of the road thankfully. The asshole (yes, I'm allowed to say that & that's the nicest thing I've called him so far) drove away and left my husband. Thank god cars stopped to help him and his friend, Cody, was by his side within moments. He said this all happened so fast.

The doctor rolled my husband to look at his wounds that pretty much covered his entire lower back and butt area.(not posting pictures because it's totally gross). They had to give him Percocet so they could clean him up and then they were sending him home with me.

I went back to the waiting area and told his family he was okay and he was coming home! His grandma had driven out from Paruhmp and Cody was there with his roommate. My parents called me every few minutes checking in. I am so happy they were there with me. He came walking out about 45 minutes later. I pulled up my car and got him in. Cody followed us home to help him up the three flights of stairs to our apartment. His family was over soon after with some dinner.

It was hard for both of us to sleep that night. I took of today and tomorrow off work to help him out as it's very hard for him to move. This has all been very heartbreaking for me. Seeing someone you love so much in pain is so hard. Tomorrow I will be taking him back to the hospital so he can get his wounds redressed and so we can get his shoulder checked out again.

I am so thankful and blessed that he is okay. Someone somewhere was taking care of my Austin. I am so appreciative of the support and love we have received from our family and friends. I don't know if I could be this strong without them.

His riding jacket now has so many holes and pads missing. Especially in the shoulder that he says hurts him so bad now. His helmet visor had shattered when he had hit the pavement and the helmet had been ground down about half an inch. His jeans and socks had holes. (His shoes flew off).

& the bike... I will be burning it if he ever wants to get back on it again. Period.

- we are currently in contact with the police department trying to find the (insert  meanest name you know here) that caused this. Hoping someone saw something or there was a camera somewhere!
