No, it probably isn't one that you will find in a movie, but its by far my favorite.
I guess you could call my husband my "high school sweet heart". We met in high school, but didn't actually start dating until, not kidding, three days after we graduated. That was actually the day that started it all, he was at my graduation.
He saw me and waved, so I ran up to him to give him a quick hug said hi, but with everything going on and the 100's of people there I was a little more focused on leaving.
Later that night I got a drunk call from his best friend, him telling me how much my now husband thought I looked really cute that night, and they wanted me to come over. I said no, because I had family in town. After he hung up, I got a text from my soon to be boyfriend, saying he was sorry for his friends immature call. We continued to text for a few hours before he asked me out for that coming Saturday.
I didn't admit it, but I was pretty excited.
So our first date was extremely cute, and went really well.
He picked me up in his lifted ford ranger {lets call it... his first love} and we went to BJ's for dinner. One of my favorite restaurants, his choice! We talked and laughed over avocado egg rolls, and pasta, then after dinner we got in his truck and he just drove. Apparently he had this all planned out. He wouldn't tell me where we were going, and I had no idea where we even were. Took some back streets, did a little off roading, and he stopped. We got out, and he told me to look around. We were at the top of the entire city. Las Vegas never looked so beautiful. Lights honestly do light up the entire sky.
After a couple hours of talking and learning about each other he kissed me. It was very sweet.
Is it super cheesy to say that when we kissed, I just had that feeling? That feeling where I never wanted to kiss anyone else ever again?
We dated for a little while, stayed a couple nights at each other's house. Pretty soon I pretty much lived at his parents house. Then in October, about 5 months after we were officially dating we got our first apartment. Fast, huh?
December 27th, 2012 , in a hotel room at the Rio he asked me to marry him. He asked me in front of all his friends that were all videoing it at the time. It was perfect. He got on one knee, I cried. He was holding the prettiest little ring {that turned into my promise ring after he bought me another}.
Even thought we had a big one planned, we had a small courthouse wedding September 21, 2013. I loved every minute of that day.
& they will live happily ever after.
