Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE Victoria's Secret anything. So it's pretty freaking awesome that my mother-in-law is the Asst. Manager at the VS in the Fashion Show Mall, here in Vegas. It's also very awesome that she gets a pretty discount and lots of freebies! But its even more awesome, that she gets and brings me my favorite perfume to work as a surprise! A couple weeks ago she got me Dream, on Monday she brought me Victoria's Secret Angel. She knows me so well. After she brought me AND my mother some perfume on Monday,we went out to lunch at Paymons. So, Paymons is a Greek restaurant that I have been going to regularly for the past two years. They know my name, and everything I order. It could quite possibly be my favorite restaurant in Vegas. My MIL was surprised at how well all the serves know my mom and I.

I put up my tree Wednesday night. Before you judge my sad little Ugly tree. Hear me out. 1. I took these lights off and I am going to use bright white LED lights instead. I just haven't made it to the store yet. 2. My tree is only 6ft tall. Its just myself and my husband and last year our apartment was teeny tiny, so my MIL bought us this tree. We decided when we have kids we will upgrade, or buy real trees. 3. This is not the placement of the tree. I went home Thursday night and hated where it was, so I put it in a corner of the living room, where my Husband originally suggested it. Problem is, its in front of the door leading to our balcony. I guess it's not as huge of a problem because we have a sliding glass door to the balcony in our bedroom.. But still. It looks way better there. 4. There are no ornaments on the poor thing yet. I didn't like these lights, so I am waiting to dec the tree out until I get the lights I am happy with. (:

Never been a coffee fan. My grandmother used to drink it black all the time and let me have super small sips when I was kid, and I always hated up. I still cannot stand the taste of coffee. At Starbucks I get lattes with warm milk instead of coffee. At work, if I am cold or SUPER tired I do like 1/4 coffee 3/4 creamer. Well my twitter was recently blown up about how amazing the white chocolate mocha is from McDonalds, so on my way into work this week I decided to try it out. Uhh.. yeah. It's pretty bomb. Not to mention, the cups are quite cute. I would definitely get one of these guys again. If you like flavored coffees this will spruce up your morning.

It's been a rainy couple of days here in Las Vegas. And I couldn't be happier. Okay, so I'm weird. Most people like sunny and 75 I like Rainy and 42. Probably because I never see it or feel it living in a desert, but I am so much happier when it rains. My mood is boosted by like 80%. I suddenly don't hate everyone I work with, and my road rage slightly decreases! I visited Washington one year when my best friend was living there, and oh my lord I was in love with the weather. I love to play in the rain, and cuddle up at home with the windows open when it rains, and I blow up everyone's twitter with RAIN RAIN DONT GO AWAY. It's just happy happy happy.

So a couple of Christmas's ago I received a really nice Nikon Camera. I really wanted a Canon Rebel, but I never specified apparently, and I got my Nikon. It's a P500, beginner I know. I can tell you, though, the couple of times I have used it, it has been wonderful. So my five today is actually kind of a goal (I've had a boring week). I am going to get that camera out, and start taking pictures of everything. My iPhone is great and all, and I whip it out for every picture opportunity, but if the lighting isn't just right, the pictures never turn out right. So I am going to start using this thing!

Thanksgiving 2013 weekend

I'm sure I am the only one in my family that still gets this excited for all holidays. Christmas Eve night I can never sleep, I am still into coloring eggs for Easter, and I have never not set off fireworks for the fourth of July. Everyone tells me with age comes a lack of holiday spirit, but ummm.. not for me! Every year I get more and more excited, especially now that I have a bigger family & my own home! I would love for my husband and I to have our own holiday traditions before we have children. I can't wait to make every holiday festive and fun for our kids!

Thanksgiving is a week away, and I cannot wait! We are doing our thanksgiving dinner(..lunch?) at my husbands parents house. My parents and my husbands grandparents will be coming as well.
My mother-in-law and I sat down Tuesday night and figured out what's for dinner. Of course we did not shy away from tradition:

Turkey
Ham
Mashed & Sweet Potatoes
Stuffing
Broccoli Rice & Cheese Casserole
Green Bean Casserole
Homemade Wheat Rising Rolls

And don't forget the deserts:

Pumpkin Pie
Cherry Pie (Husbands Fav)
Fudge (My Fav)
Cookies
& My famous cupcakes!

Having both our families coming together as a whole is the most important thing to me about the holidays. Especially since we might not be in Vegas for awhile. Getting to sit down, share dinner, talk, and just spend quality time together is something I always look forward to. Everyday I am very thankful for how blessed my life is and has been. The holidays together are just another thing I am so thankful for!

Because my sister-in-law and my mother-in-law are both in retail they have to work black Friday. My sister-in-law will be working throughout the night so we are doing an early dinner. 2pm. This works for my husband and I as well because we are going to wait all evening in line at Best Buy to buy our new TV and stand.

Friday / Black Friday is my birthday. I will finally be 20.  I know we will be tired from the night before, so we don't really have any plans so far for that weekend. But December 7th, we are going to dinner and then to see KA! I am so beyond excited. I've decided that I'm going to make hubs dress up for it. (:

The extra bedroom.

So we moved into a two bedroom apartment a couple months ago because our one bedroom was just so small for all of the stuff  that we have accumulated over the last year and a half.
We have an extra 1000 square feet in this apartment, and every closet is packed with stuff  like clothes, cleaning supplies, tools, holiday decorations, blankets, and all the things I don't want my guests, well.. me rather, to look at when in my house.. Am I the only one that does this?

Well the good things is I got the storage I was looking for SOO everything is tucked away and looks nice(:

So now, I have this extra bedroom, that has pretty much nothing in it. Well, currently it is home to my husbands small toolbox, and a stereo that I have had for awhile! I have been trying to figure out what I want to do with this room, and I think I know what my next project will be.

Office / Guest Space.
I know, we all see this when we are staying with a relative, a bed thrown in a room with a desk.
I wanna be this person!
Here's what I was thinking.

My husband and I are getting a new TV, and a new TV stand for our living room, so I would put the old stand and the smaller TV in the extra room. Then I would get a cute but cheap day bed and throw some awesome decorative pillows on there. God forbid someone actually come stay with us. Then I would go buy a nice desk & deck chair. It'd be an awesome place for me to do homework and focus on my blog.
I also have to buy a couple nice lamps for the room too because there is no ceiling light. This really peeves me, why build a room with no ceiling light??

Alright, I think that's my plan.
I'm excited to take action. It just might have to be after the holidays.
Empty rooms freak me out, so when I have a nicely decorated full room that I actually use, it will be less scary! ha.

About Summer.

So I've been at this for a couple of months, and I haven't actually done an "About Me" yet, so I decided now is the time.

Hello, I'm Summer.

So that's my face.

I'm an almost 20 year old, newlywed, currently residing in Las Vegas.  I was blessed to meet and marry my amazing husband at such a young age, Austin. My best friend and partner in crime.  Also blessed with an awesome close family who have supported me through all my craziness.

I love blogging, writing and giving my little 20 year experience insight on life, love and now the military? My husband is currently joining the Navy, making me a soon to be Navy wife!
I began this blog to share and remember my life, my pictures, and my projects, also to connect with other amazing bloggers and read about their experiences, military or not.
I am currently enrolled with University of Phoenix where I still have not decided if I want to major in Hospitality / Hotel Management or Phycology.

I'm on a little journey to get fit and have the body of my dreams.

I am completely obsessed with buying things and decorating our home. Finding new and exciting things to cook. And experiencing new adventures with my wonderful husband.

{Loves}: Country music | food | mascara | social media | pictures | fashion | animals | good deals

Weekend Shenanigans.

My first Weekend Shenanigans Link up :)

So I am trying to get better at taking pictures of everything I do and wear and see and so on. But here's my weekend.

Friday night my husband and I went to my favorite Chinese spot, Pei Wei, with Sage and Eishi- That's their names, no Chinese pun intended. Pei Wei has become an every other Friday night kind of thing. After dinner we went to best buy, where my husband applied for a credit card so on Black Friday we can go buy a new bigger TV with no problem.
After Best Buy I told them I really needed to stop into Wal-Mart to get lotion.
Lotion turned into more way cubes for my Scenty's, don't judge my obsession.

And my husband and Eishi sat here while Sage and I smelled every scent their was.
Later that night, like 11 pm, my husband and I went to the gym because I was feeling guilty.

Saturday morning we went to my husbands parents house and helped his mom paint her living room. The heavy lifting was already done when we got there, so we literally grabbed rollers and started painting.
Austin went on a ride that afternoon so my sister-in-law and I went to Bath and Body Works, then Target. After I dropped her off, I took another trip to Wal-Mart. This time to grab a box of German Chocolate cake mix, icing, and ingredients for loaded baked potato dip.  I went home, baked some little German Chocolate cupcakes, made the dip, and got ready. We went to a family friends house that night to watch the fight. - My husband loves his flannels.

Poor George St-Pierre got his butt handed to him by Johnny Hendricks. I couldn't believe that GSP won! Even though I was rooting for George to win, Johnny clearly had that game in the bag. Then as St-Pierre got his belt he told everyone that this would be his last fight for awhile. Poor Hendricks. Can't wait to see him fight again. Might be my new fav.

Sunday morning we did some running around out of boredom. We went to cycle gear and my husband showed me these awesome riding gloves he was thinking about getting me, for when I ride on the street bike with him. LOVE THEM.

Then we went to the Kay's in the mall, and I got my beautiful ring cleaned.(:

We just went home for the rest of the day. I got the beardies out and played with them,we watched a movie, played COD, then went to the gym. I actually really enjoyed just staying home with my husband and relaxing all day.
