5 on Friday!

Linking up today for 5 on Friday.

My week was a little hectic and not so enjoyable, so instead of griping about some miserable days for my five I am going to list all that I am looking forward to!

Christmas Shopping! I cannot wait to officially go Christmas shopping! I have done a lot of online shopping, and have some gifts shipped to my house and under my tree, but I want to physically go shopping now! I love shopping this time of year, and I can't wait to get everyone marked off my Christmas list!

Our Pictures. So because we do not know when or even if we are doing our big wedding anymore, we decided to still take pictures. The dress is bought and all these little accessories that I was going to use for our pictures so why not take them still? We have a good friend, Shannon, who will be taking them at the mountains in the snow. My husband isn't really into getting our pictures done, so when he agreed I was slightly shocked and excited.

Christmas! As if that wasn't a given. I'm a little excited to get some presents, but even more than that I can't wait to see the family all together again. If I haven't said it enough, I absolutely love the Holidays!

Finding a new job. Okay, so this is kind of news. I haven't really told anyone other than my husband and my mother that I am looking for a new job. Hard. I have never sent my resume to so many places, or filled out this many applications. I feel way to underappreciated and to disposable where I am now and I am not enjoying it anymore. I just started looking, so I haven't heard from too many places yet, but I am keeping my fingers crossing and praying that there is a new road ahead of me.

Navy??  Okay so my husband has been trying to join the Navy for some time now. Unfortunately we have been jerked around a few times and are completely playing the waiting game now. We honestly have no idea if the Military is in our future now, but we would like for it to be. Its hard not to know where we will be a year from now. I am hoping we get a call here soon telling us what is going on.

I know, kind of lame(:

I can't believe its already over.

This break went by so fast, but it was probably the best four days I have had in a long time.

Wednesday after work my husband and I went to his parents house to hang out for awhile and ended up going shopping with them. Target, Best buy, PetCo, and Wal-Mart. Then we had a nice steak dinner with them while we discussed everything we were going to cook the next day. My mother in-law and I tried to make some fudge, but we didn't cook it long enough, so needless to say, not the best batch.

Thanksgiving Morning we woke up pretty early, got ready and headed over to the in-laws. I was in charge of the turkey and ham, yeah.. no pressure or anything. My mother in-law told me how to do everything and grandma (in-law) showed me how she does the stuffing, and it actually all turned out really well. So if next year we are unable to have Thanksgiving with the family I will know what to do! After the turkey was in the oven and the ham was in the roaster my husbands grandparents wanted to see our new apartment and we needed to grab a few more chairs so we took a ride up there. They get so excited for us all the time, I love it! I also love how they compliment how nicely decorated my house is! Oh, and we got our new TV last week, so his dad wanted to check that out too!  & this is us after I ripped a neck and heart out of the turkey! (:

When we got back to the in-laws (I love my husbands parents, but I feel like calling them "in-laws" makes people think I dislike them, I just can't think of another thing to call them) We watched the game while we waited for my family to show up and the food to cook. Okay, so I have always been a Cowboys fan. I know, I know... but this year they have stepped it up big time! My husband has gotten me more into football, I understand the game now and actually like to watch it. I have grown to love two teams. Cowboys and Broncos. Cowboys because when I was younger my grandpa always watched them and they play every Thanksgiving. Plus, over half of my family is from Dallas, so... home team? And Broncos. Because they are an amazing team. It is also my husbands and in-laws team, so they have squeezed their way into my life. But I'll be happy to report (If any of you didn't already know) my Boys won Thanksgiving!
And the Bronco's won against this Chiefs yesterday 35 to 28! Hoping to see them in the SuperBowl!

My parents got to my in-laws about the same time the food was ready, and we were all able to sit at the table together. I totally forgot to take a picture of the amazing food, but let me tell you... yummy! I loved sitting together at the table, talking and seeing everyone. Its awesome to have such a close family. The only one missing was my sister :( she was spending the holiday break in LA. After dinner we took a break from eating and cleaned up the kitchen while the guys went to play with my husbands bike.. and then we cut the pie! My husbands grandmother also made me this pumpkin spice Bundt cake for my birthday! Very cute!

I also opened some gifts. Night Perfume from Victoria's Secret. I've been asking for this one for a while. It smells awesome. You may have also seen it on my Christmas list, I can mark that one off now(:

The Harry potter 8 Film complete DVD set. Yes, this was also on my Christmas list! And trust me, I opened this up Friday and already started watching! They never ever get old to me!

After dinner, pie, and presents at my in-laws my parents went to Heather's house (a long time family friend of ours) and we joined them shortly after. We stayed for about two hours before I wanted to go get in line at Kohl's. Yep, for black Friday shopping. Well, for us it was more black Thanksgiving night shopping. All the stores opened super early this year. I got a few Christmas presents from Kohl's, and found a cute pair of brown boots for myself (Birthday present to myself??) My husband was such a trooper black Friday. He stood in the check out line at Kohl's - it wrapped all the way around the store, while I shopped, he also held all of my things! I love him(:

So Friday was my birthday. I am finally 20! Not that 20 really gets me anywhere 19 didn't, but one year older! Woooo! I like that I don't have to say "teen" anymore when I tell people my age. So this was a text message from my little sister. Sometimes its hard to tell who is the older one. She's 12. I love this message because it shows how close and awesome she is to me, it also makes me so happy that she is proud of me. I always wanted to show my sister I am strong, and I always wanted to make her proud. I have to be her role model, right?

Friday we pretty much sat around at the house all day. Played some COD, ran to Wal-Mart for Mascara, but we went out for a birthday dinner with my parents to Claim Jumpers. Quite possibly one of my favorite restaurants. Again, I lacked the picture taking so hard this weekend :( After dinner I talked to my grandmother for an hour on the phone and my husband and I watched Harry Potter all night. Why are we boring?

Saturday my mom and I went shopping while my dad and husband went on a ride. My mom bought me some True Religion Jeans, but I don't get them until Christmas! And We went into Juicy Couture and I found this cute bag for 50% off! It was only $80! I didn't buy it, but I am still contemplating whether or not to go back and get it!

My husband and I went back to my parents house after shopping and riding and watched the New Superman,  I really liked it, but they didn't, and we had dinner. Then we went back home and Sage and Eishi came over to hang out for a bit.

Sunday we slept in, and I had plans to go to the a nice lunch, then go to see Catching Fire. Of course, my plans never play out. Instead we ended up going sledding and having lunch at the Ski Lodge. Just as fun! We actually got to sled! We went with my Husband's friend Cody and Cody's cousin, Brooke! It was a good time! The snow was beautiful and the weather was perfect.

Hubby sledding down. He busted his butt a few times, I bet he woke up sore this morning. My legs are a little sore from climbing the hills a bunch of times. I can't wait to take out pictures out here! It is so beautiful!

I had a really great weekend. I am really sad its already over! I am so excited for Christmas though!
