Dreams

I had the worst dream last night. Seriously, one of my biggest fears came true in this dream, and It felt so real. I felt so sad, I felt the hurt. How can a dream effect me that much. I woke up drained, upset, and on the verge of crying. I just had to look over at my husband and tell myself it was just a dream. It was just a dream. I couldn't sleep without feeling his body touching mine for the rest of the night.

Some people analyze dreams. Do they mean something? Are they looking into the future, or is it our conscience taking something we have thought about once or twice and playing that out like a movie in our heads while we sleep?

Its ruined my morning, and probably my day. And I hope to God that this dream never comes even close to true.

As a new baby blogger I was so excited to receive this! My thanks goes to Samantha at A Modern Navy Wife (:

A little Q&A(:

Q. 1. What are the hopes and dreams you have for your blog?
A. I have always been one to talk, and I love writing everything in my head down, if it makes sense or not. I started a blog to write about our life, our adventures, our changes and our growth. I like documentation. My hopes for this blog is to store a lot of stuff here. I hope to still have it up and running years from now, so I am able to look back and read about the things we went through together. Good or bad.

Q. 2. What is the one piece in your closet that you cannot live without? (clothing, shoes, accessory, anything)
A. My closet is my pride & joy. But I think the one thing I couldn't live without are my favorite pair of leggings from Adidas. I bought them when I was working for Adidas and they are so comfortable and I can wear them with so many things. If I have to have pants on, those are my go tos!

Q. 3. What is the best book you have ever read? Why is it your fave?

Q.4. What is your favorite comfort food?
A. Home Made Red Skin Garlic Mashed Potatoes for sure. with a little cheese, yummy!

Q.5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
A. Texas, I think or San Diego. Oooh I hate this question. I just want all seasons and a beach.

Q. 6. If you could have any job what would it be?
A. I would love to be a psychologist. Having my own practice would be a dream of mine. Even more than that I would love to be a psychologist for those who are in the military.

Q. 7. Who is your celebrity crush?
A. Ryan Reynolds. mmmhmm.

Q. 8. iPhone or Android?
A. iPhone!

Q. 9. Are you a purger or a pack rat?
A. I have an attachment to all my belongings, and I love stuff. But I also like to throw things away!

Q. 10. What did you want to be when you were little?
A. A forensic scientist! I watched CSI like no other.

Q.11. If they were going to make a movie about your life, who would you want to play you?
A. Sandra Bullock. Hands Down.
Am I a nerd?

Craftyness to a test?

So I am Super excited to be in a new place. Yep. Super.

I decided I was going to go all out this time. When we got out first apartment I contemplated painting- I hate boring walls. Which is probably why I have thousands of things on my walls now. I decided against painting because 1. I had so much stuff on my walls I didn't feel like taking it all down and having to find the existing holes. Lazy me I guess. & 2. I couldn't figure out how I would paint that apartment. I have decided that I WILL in fact paint this new apartment.

So the thing that I really like about our complex, is that we don't have white walls. All of the walls are like a light beige. You can tell they aren't white, and they make the place feel warm. So I don't have to paint all the walls, I am just going to do accent walls.

Living Room/ Kitchen- So our living room and kitchen have a Black, Red, Brown thing going on. I have red accents everywhere but our furniture is black and brown. We love the colors, and it feels very warm. Our Kitchen has an Italian theme going on with it. I love it. So I was thinking I would do the Back wall, the entire wall dark red. I have a big black framed mirror that I will be hanging on it, and some pictures, so I think it will look really awesome (:  I also might use that same red in one of the walls in the kitchen. I am a little weary about painting the kitchen, but we will see when the time comes.
I have all the décor for my living room that I want, I just need to find new curtains and the living room and kitchen will be done!

Bedroom- Right now, in our current apartment, our bedroom is a huge freaking mess. I hate it. I never show our guests our bedroom. Our room is too small for our king bed and we have stuff everywhere. So I am cleaning it out this week. Our new apartment has a huge master bedroom. I am going to focus on our bedroom this time and have come up with a color scheme. I am going to go with a gray, tan, and white. I found this awesome gray and tan bedding set on Kohls.com that I  think I am going to order. Then for the accent wall, I want to do gray stripes over the existing beige walls. and then Paint one other wall in the bedroom solid gray. Then over time I will get a lot of white accents to put on the built in shelves in the bedroom, Maybe Find a white Clock, and an all white scentsy. So when I say gray, I mean more like a silver/bluish gray. So its pretty and light, not drabby. We have a sliding glass door in our bedroom so one of my priorities is to get curtains up as soon as possible. I know that funds will not allow me to get all of this stuff done in one weekend, but I hope I can get it all done sooner rather than later!
Right now we have an ugly wooden dresser. Lol I would like to get rid of it, or paint it white. I don't know what my husband will say about that yet.

Bathrooms- I haven't really come up with anything yet. I need to go buy new shower curtains for BOTH bathrooms. Our cat has completely messed up the one we have now.  I'd like to come up with a whole new theme or color idea for our master bathroom and I'll put our current bathroom things in the guest bathroom. We will see how much money I am able to spend on all of it.

Beautiful Weekend.

Well My husband did great on his ASVABS Thursday Afternoon! His recruiter was really excited with the score he got! Hopefully this will enable him the chance to get the job he really wants. After he took his test he went to his recruiters office and filled out some personal paperwork. He brought home paperwork that we have to fill out together, and then on Tuesday we will be taking our marriage certificate in and I pretty much have to do some paperwork as well. Then not this week, but the week after he will be doing his physical, choosing his job, and hopefully getting his boot camp date!

I had a long weekend, so lets start with Friday. I got up really early and went to the social security office. Lets just say I like the DMV better- and the lady that was helping me could have been nicer. Apparently it will take two weeks to get my social security card in the mail so I will have to wait until then to change my name at work and with my bank. This coming Saturday I am going to go to the DMV to change my name on my registration, title and ID. Hopefully I can take a new picture. The picture on there now is almost four years old. Yikes. After that I rode up to Davids Bridal, but they were closed so I couldn't pick up my veil and flowers, and I didn't feel like taking that drive again later on in the day. So I went back to my side of town and checked out TJMaxx. I bought two new sweaters that I love! Then I went to Home Goods. I was hoping I could find a big wooden F somewhere, but I can't... anywhere! I met up with my husband at Panera bread, where I spilled my tea EVERYWHERE and then had my first Dr. Pepper in weeks, for lunch. It was a cute lunch date!
One of two new sweaters!

After lunch I decided I was going to spend the rest of the day with my sister. I took her out of class a little bit early and surprised her. We did our eyebrows at my moms house then we went back to my apartment where I realized my scentsy was broke, and that gave us an excuse to go out and buy another one, along with three new scents! I buy the Walmart brand scentsy things. It doesn't make sense to buy something for $30-$40 when I can buy the same thing for $15! Its an owl.

I made my sister a juice in my awesome new juicer, my husband came home then we went to dinner with my mom at Famous Daves. My Husband and I stayed in that night, because we are practicing to an old boring couple. After this weekend, we might already be there.

Saturday we went to the leasing office at our apartments and we signed the papers for a new two bedroom apartment! Yay! Our lease is up in October for the apartment we are in now, so we decided to get a bigger one! We move in on the 12th of October! I am really excited to redecorate and I am determined to paint this one. We are in the same complex, but on a complete different side of it, and we are now South facing with a beautiful view of the city and mountains. Really, we should be charged more per month because of our view but I'm glad we aren't. I am also happy we are south facing because now we can get a dish. I hate the cable we have now, Cox. I really want to get Dish Network! I am also excited for our huge new closet! After we did the apartment stuff we went to get my rings cleaned and my husband had to make another payment on them. Then we sat around at home all day! We took a nice walk when it got dark out. The weather was perfect. We walked around the entire apartment complex and checked out where our new apartment is and what's around it. We checked out each of the pools and said hi to a high school friend of mine that lives in the same complex.
Our view of the city.

Sunday... we cleaned, did all of our laundry, and watched Breaking Bad. It's our new Netflix obsession. We also cleaned out our closet and our dresser, got rid of the things we didn't wear anymore. I'm really bad at letting go of clothes. Its bad. But I am going to do that to the whole house this week. I want to clean out the house of all the things we don't use so we don't have to move a bunch of junk. Next week I will start packing our things up and getting everything ready to move over. I am hoping this will be an easy move, and I hope we get some people to help us!

So yeah. It was a pretty boring weekend. But I would take this boring weekend with my husband over any other weekend!
