First rule of any out of Vegas road trip... Cracker Barrel!
This is just my all time favorite restaurant, and being as we don't have one in Vegas, we usually hit this place twice when we go somewhere! So we stopped in St.George on the way in, and had lunch, then on the way out we stopped there again!
This was my yummy plate, chicken and rice, fried okra, and green beans. (The second time we went, not pictured, I got fried chicken, green beans, and hash brown casserole). This food makes me entirely too happy.

Another 45 minute drive and we were at our hotel, the Driftwood Lodge. Seriously the cutest little hotel only 1.5 miles away from the entrance of Zion National Park. There are lots of little hotels and lodges on the road to the park, but I am really happy with the one we chose.

The rooms were big, modernly updated, and super comfortable. In front of each room (or on the balcony... depending on the room you were in) there were a couple of chairs and a view no picture could do justice.

This is the Virgin River that was running right behind out hotel room! Seriously so beautiful!
After we checked in we all went through Zion. I got on the back of Austins bike. It was a beautiful park. This was my first time to Zion, and I will definitely be going back. The mountains were amazing, and the river was running right through the middle of it. There were a couple of tunnels we went through that were awesome!

Here's a couple pic in our motorcycle jackets(:

At the end of the main road through Zion, it dumps you on this road and its just an open country road. A little bit down is Buffalo Grill. Behind the restaurant there are animals, and a heard of buffalo.

This horse was so pretty, but definitely afraid of us.

another couple pic.

After the ride we went back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. I made reservations at Switchback Fish and Steakhouse, which was pretty much right next door to our hotel. I had steak and roasted potatoes.

After dinner we went on a little walk and explored the shops that were on the street leading to Zion park. I love souvenir shops! I am surprised I didn't come home with more than half a pound of fudge, and some candy sticks! (Which is exactly what I didn't need after all the food we had been eating!)
Sunday morning we slept in a little, checked out of the hotel and headed back to Vegas - Making a stop at Cracker Barrel in St.George, of course!
It really was a great way to spend out Saturday! I had so much fun, and I love that we did it with our families!

So many great photos in this post! Totally loving all of the blue skies :)
