We judge, and we say harsh words. We criticize and hurt people we don't even know. People we don't understand. We are mean and rude and unaware of the people we do know. Well, the people we think we know. We have also been the victims.
I have been trying and working really hard on not judging people lately. Giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. Smiling and complementing strangers. Telling friends they are beautiful. Sending nice texts to those people I know but haven't spoken to in awhile. I believe every small act of kindness may not save everyone, but it's saved someone. I believe that everyone deserves attention, and unfortunately I am unable to give EVERYONE some of my attention.
I do not believe all people are bad. I do not believe that just because someone has hurt me before it should hinder my thoughts on others. I know we have all been burned. I know we have all been made fun of for something. It's not fair. So I believe in being the good that outweighs the bad.
Something that was unfortunately and harshly brought to my attention this weekend was the fact that we all have a door. Behind our door is a life, a secret that we do not share. We keep it from our close friends and our families. Maybe its small.. Like me. Behind my door is a small secret that I have learned to grieve and cope with myself, and have noticed that it gets smaller and smaller. It affects nothing in my life. Others have a huge secret or a weight on their shoulders. This is affecting their minds and their daily lives. I wish to use to my kind words to help these people believe that life can still be beautiful. That they will always have a chance with a little bit of fight.
Pay it forward, if even all you have are your words- You never know who you are helping. Who you are saving.

Very good and true post!!!
